Wholesale telco, Platform Networks, is on the hunt for system integrator partners as part of an aggressive channel push in 2009.

Managing director, David Hooton, said the company is traditionally strong with developing small and medium sized telco partners, but had yet to have much of an impact with systems integrators.

“We’ve got 30 small to medium sized telco partners, and 15 system integrators. Over the next 12 months we want to build this number to 150-200 partners,” Hooton said.

“It’s a tough market at the moment, but I see it as an opportunity for us to add value to our business, and the channel will be an important part of this process.”

Platform’s other goal over the next year will be to increase its national presence. “We’re in Brisbane and Sydney at the moment, and will be extending our coverage to Melbourne very soon.” Hooton said.

“In the next 12-18 months we’ll also expand to Perth and open a New Zealand office.”
